At Thin Red Line we're just a little bit different from most 'shirtmakers' because all our shirting fabrics have been woven specially for us and all our shirts have been stitched by us in our own premises. At the end of the day, regardless how well stitched the shirt, it's the fabric you're wearing.

We take only the finest Extra longstaple cotton yarns which we then dye and weave into the desired fabric style.

After the fabric is woven, it then undergoes no fewer than six different treatments in order to achieve the wondrous, silky smooth feel that has become the hallmark of a Thin Red Line shirt.

All our shirts are of the highest Jermyn Street specification (we like to say Savile Row instead!). However, it's not just the five piece collar, removable collar bones, four piece split yoke, cross-stitched buttons, sleeve pleats, side gussets  that make a good shirt. Combine this with traditional garment stitching techniques (which have almost all but been forgotten in this age of mass-manufacturing), and our Thin Red Line fabric and the result is something pretty special - a shirt with attention to quality and detail at every stage of creation.

We have 5 different shades of blue that we use in different patterns and combinations to make what we believe is the perfect blue shirt. So we don’t do just any blue shirt, we do The Blue shirt!
